some things about the philippines...

A few differences from what Americans might be used to....

-they don't remove the bones from much of anything. you have to eat around them.  Fish especially. 

-toilet paper is for drying off.  They have a hose with high pressure for cleaning.

-in the bathrooms toilet paper is used for paper towels after you wash your hands

- the napkins at the tables are very small

- the portions of food are very small, but more than sufficient

- the brooms are all made local and they only use one hand to sweep

- no one has time for too much recreation, besides just hanging with family

- lines on the road mean nothing.  In the city or in the country.

- if you fight one Philippino you fight all of them.  Don't fight.

-  the hoses in the bathrooms are a better idea than what we have going

- they might be a little poor, but I think their lives are better.

- a 125cc motorbike can hold 6 people if you are creative

- guys usually get up to dance first at nightclubs, then women come up
